I am rooting for you and praying for good biopsy results. That must be a emotional meeting to get those results.
We are just about finished in como and no clooney sightings. This place (como) is not nearly so ostentatious as some others we have been to. It seems pretty working class. I get the sense that italy is still very small town/small business oriented and very family oriented. There are many large houses but that is only because they house extended families all in one house. I have not seen a single large resort or hotel out side of a holiday inn in verona. The government must be very restrictive agaist big business in favor of small, family run businesses.
I hope this trip has some impact on the girls. On the one hand I think it will have to. On the other hand I have no idea what it will be.
One thing I realized is that with bridget in high school we see a lot less of each other. This trip has forced us to spend a month together 100% of the time. It hasn't always been pretty but we have connected as a family in a way we would not have other wise.
Ttyl and good luck!

Hi Pat
Still waiting on the results on my biopsy. Hopefully I will hear tommorrow. No George Clooney sightings yet? When I read Nora's introductory statement about the novel toilet set up, I thought she was going to describe a bidet. Sounds like a very effiicient set up. Maybe you can pioneer this inniovation in Portage Park...
Happy Trails
