Monday - Down Day

Monday was a down day for us. I needed to catch up on work and the kids needed a day with out church trekking. So we slept late, swam for a while, went to the store and then swam all day. Some of the kids got a little sunburn. We had ravioli and pizza for dinner – picked it up at the local market. We are making our own dinners now that we have a kitchen. Fiona is loving the cucumbers. We had prosciutto sandwiches for lunch – the girls wolfed those down. The sandwich rolls seems a bit hard on the outside, so they are smashing them down or trying to pick off the hard parts.

I was thinking the other day that my only frame of reference for Tuscan villas prior to this is the Seinfeld episode where the Maestro rents a Tuscan villa but tells Gerry that there are none left for him to rent. I think I always wanted to rent a Tuscan villa after that, just to show the Maestro that he was wrong.

Everywhere we go in Tuscany there are fields of Sunflowers. I need to figure out why… Seems like I don’t see sunflower oil here or sunflower seeds. Maybe they export them all.

  1. When I heard you were going to Tuscany, that Seinfeld episode immediately came to mind.

Is everybody's Italian getting a workout?
