We arrived in Madrid yesterday after a 3 hour train ride. I was exhausted, as the soccer game had kept us up till 1 in the morning. The game at camp nou was awesome and it was amazing to see the blaugrana play at home. Also, the won 7-0 which contributed to the awesomeness. Anyways, we headed out to Madrid, which doesn't have as much as Barcelona. The Placa Mayor was very nice, and they also had a nice market with lots of pastries and other yummy things.

We went to a delicious place and got churros con chocolate. WOW THEY WERE SO GOOD! It was fried churros that you dip in this thick pudding like hot chocolate. Yummy. We continued to a place called the Arab wall (remains of a Moorish trading outpost) and then headed to the Palacio Real. We didn't go in, but even from the outside, it's pretty amazing. We're going to go in tomorrow. We headed back to the hotel for a siesta, and then headed out for dinner. We had tapas, so just some appetizers. After that my dad tried to force me to eat frozen yogurt even when I told him I wasn't hungry.

This morning we woke up later because I was tired and headed to el prado. It's a cool museum with a LOT of art, but we spent far too much time there--nearly four hours thanks to my dad. We went to the Parque del Retiro after where I had horchata (a yummy drink made from chufa nut). I juggled in the park while my dad worked and it was quite enjoyable, albeit very hot.
