Fiona's blog - wed july 6

Fionas blog for wed july 6
We woke up this morning to dad enthusiastically barging into our room in his jogging clothes telling us to get up. When we finally did, we went down to a breakfast that was without our dear pastries. There we decided that hotel brunnehof in munich had the best breakfast with hot chocolate and chocolate waffles. They also had good candy at the front desk which was a family favorite.
After breakfast we headed to Rothenburg, a nearby town famous for its medieval sites. We climbed its town walls, saw st james church, and got a special pastry called a schneeballen. These are squished together pie crusts brushed with powdered sugar. After we did this we went to two gardens, one with poisonous plants, the other with great views. Then we decided to head to the medieval crime and torture museum. There were lots of torture tools that would make you cringe at the very thought. It was cool though...
When we finally got out of there we stopped to get food before hitting the road to wolfsburg for the game. We got 4 sandwhiches, 3 pastries, 3 chocolate milks, and a coffee for mom. She gets tired a lot in the afternoon.
We hit the road at about 2:45 and were still on the road now. We are heading to the last group game for the US vs Sweden. Hopefully they'll win. Otherwise they'll have to play Brazil...
